Agro Sciences Launches Nano-Encapsulated Biopesticide Range

Janatha Agro Sciences has introduced India's first commercially available nano-encapsulated biopesticide range under the brand name AgroShield. Developed in collaboration with leading research institutions, the range offers farmers a safer, more effective alternative to synthetic chemical pesticides without compromising on field efficacy.

The nano-encapsulation technology allows the active biological agents to remain stable during storage and transport, while enabling a slow, targeted release when applied to crops. Field trials conducted across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu demonstrated a 35% improvement in pest control effectiveness compared to conventional biopesticide formulations.

AgroShield is currently available through 850 agri-dealer outlets and direct distribution partnerships with over 50,000 registered farmers. Janatha Agro Sciences plans to extend the range to six additional crop categories by the third quarter of 2025, with exports to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in pipeline discussions.
