Janatha Group has officially launched Janatha Pipes & Fittings, its tenth business vertical, marking the group's entry into the construction materials and infrastructure supply sector. The new division will manufacture and distribute HDPE, PVC, and GI pipes along with associated fittings for agricultural, marine, and civil construction applications.
The decision to enter the pipes and fittings segment is a strategic extension of the group's existing operations: several of its aquaculture, fisheries, and processing facilities already require significant quantities of piping for water management, drainage, and aeration systems. The new vertical allows the group to integrate its supply chain while offering its product range to the broader construction market across coastal Karnataka.
The launch facility is located near Mangaluru and has an initial production capacity of 1,200 tonnes per month. Distribution agreements have been signed with regional dealers across Karnataka, Kerala, and Goa, and the company is in discussions with government infrastructure contractors for bulk supply to public works projects.
