Janatha Fisheries Ranked Among Top 10 Seafood Exporters in Karnataka

The Karnataka Seafood Export Council has recognised Janatha Fisheries in its annual ranking of the state's top ten seafood exporters for 2024. The recognition reflects a consistent year-on-year increase in export volume over the past four years, alongside a sustained focus on quality assurance and compliance with international food safety standards.

Janatha Fisheries exports a diverse portfolio that includes frozen shrimp, reef fish, squid, and processed ready-to-cook products. Key export markets include the United Arab Emirates, Japan, the United States, and European Union member states. The company holds BRC, HALAL, and EU-approved export certifications, which have been critical to accessing regulated markets.

The ranking positions Janatha Fisheries as one of only three Karnataka-based exporters to have maintained a top-ten finish for three consecutive years. The management team is currently investing in expanded cold storage capacity at its Mangaluru processing facility, with commissioning expected by mid-2025.
